Last Day Of Jan

it seems so fitting that the last day of jan would end with band.

had no drills tdy, which made the day more enjoyable and less tiring. basically, what we did tdy was just sectionals and tutor.

and clarinets got their new instruments tdy. including yr 2s. lol. thats like so nice. they just entered for 1yr plus and they get to use brand new instruments. they are rly rly rly lucky. hope they would treasure their instrument and dont produce lousy music with it.

and band ended with a not very good ending tdy. sebby was pissed with us and finally could not take it anymore. we did 20 pumpings, and excos did 10 more. excos have a hard life, i must say.

well, hope that the attendance would be better next time. expecially ppl who dont play very well and yet still keep pon-ning practices. im pissed with these sort of ppl. just hope that they would come to their senses. haiz.

damn

i just ruined my whole blog.

the music player is gone. this is so retarded.

22nd Jan

tdy was a pretty normal day, but its boring nevertheless.

due to the lack of band practices, the day was very, very boring. and i had nothing to look forward which spells boredom to me.

had the usual boring dose of lessons.

especially lang arts and mathematics.

the subjects are actually not very boring. but due to some *coughs*, the lessons are boring.

and there's cny celebration tmr. it shld be quite boring too due to the fact that yr 2s have to do the calligraphy thing in the canteen for like 1h. i would rather prefer sitting on the floor and watching the entire concert to sitting in the gallery and watch half of the concert. then do the stupid calligraphy thing. argh.

but after the calligraphy thing would be band practice. haha. it shld be quite enjoyable if i get to use sheryl's instrument. if not, i'll probably just die in epicus. the high notes that i get stuck at with my old instrument. i'll rather go through overture with my lousy instrument lo. at least i can play through the whole thing.

aiya, tmr will be a sian day until 12. then it will be interesting. hahas.

Sparkwinds Concert

haha i finally updated, due to the overwhelming workload.

anyway i shall try and make my post more wordy nowadays.

yesterday went to Singapore Conference Hall for the Sparkwinds Concert. The Singapore Conference Hall remained as it was like 3 years ago. It brought back quite a lot of memories as i remembered syf'06. i still remembered us waiting outside the hall for our turn to go in. and the tension we felt. haha. it was quite meaningful to see the Singapore Conference Hall again.

anyway, the Sparkwinds concert was great. RV, YH, PJC alumnis were great. Their playing was quite professional, especially my tutor, nizam. He was like so imba in playing the solos. His soprano saxo solo was like a recording and his playing, in summary, was super super imba. The whole band was great. Their epicus totally owned us by a lot. It's like when they used such a short period of time and they still could play better than us.

what could i say? seniors are seniors. they definitely have more experience than us. their sound was also quite balanced and the soloists were great.

and lastly, the Saxophones Section was wonderful. Their quartet was so damn nice. Their playing is super professional lo.

and the gifts we bought for the seniors were chocolates. and sheryl had a special present from us. *laughs*. it was actually quite amusing. haha.

im so looking forward to Beautiful Sunday on 28 June(?). The Sparkwinds will be performing again. I hope they will make it a compulsory event again.

although i went home rather late last night and had to chiong homework like mad, but i still felt that it was worth my time and money for the concert.

haha. band just rocks.

a typical tuesday

this is such a typical tuesday.

being the CCA day, I dont get why teachers just love to give us all the homework on this particular day.

We get home like 8 plus. Where do we find the time to do the homework? Rush them out till midnight? Then next day, they still expect us to pay full attention. Is like WTH?

and futhermore, we have exhausted our energy on cca. what ounces of energy do we have left to plough the endless stream of homework?

therefore, i can safely conclude that on tuesday, teachers should just save up the homework they want to give, and give us on friday. Then, we will have the weekend to finish them up.

isn't that like the perfect solution to solve this endless problem?

anyway, words aside.

today's band practice was horrible for me.

my notes keep squeaking.

i dunno whats wrong but i just know that my sound quality sucks today.

continue on like that and I rly wont get in SYF man.

=.=

pissed

first of all was the cid cluster.

i actually got mathematics as my cluster.

WTH.

please don't get it wrong. it's not that i don't like maths. its just that the content taught is seriously boring. who would possibly wanna learn abt ancient maths, in this case, ancient chinese maths.

oh man. and futhermore, the groups are chosen for us. we dont even have a choice or chance to voice out. unfortunately, i know none of my groupmates. that's horrible!

imagine facing that for one semester. oh man, i think i'll collapse.

and after that horrendous lesson, i get another *i dunno how to describe* lesson.

my maths teacher is really fantastic. =)

she teaches like *i dunno what to say*.

anyway, lets just say that her teaching can make us into F9 students.

anyway, i just feel that this year is gonna to be damn lan4. cant wait for better teachers nxt yr.(not saying that there aren't good one this year).

its a boring sunday

almost forgot about this.

Happy 14th Birthday to Celine!

its a sunday.

but i dont feel the mood of a sunday.

i just feel the mood of a normal school day.

BORING.

i just wonder why do we even need to do homework.

why we even need to go to school.

actually we just need to study ourselves and just come to school for exams.

its so simple lo.

better than wasting your time in school.

with teachers that make you more confused.

the only good thing about school is CCA lo.

other than that, there's nothing much attractive.

its a boring school life.

past performances

just suddenly had the urge to compile the lists of performances I have taken part in before.

i'll probably not be able to state all as i won't be able to remember so well.

From the past to recent:
Primary School
1)Some performance at the opening ceremony of (i forgot what)
2)Some performance at (i forgot what place)
3)Primary School Band Concert'06
4)SYF'06
5)CCA Promotion Day'07

i think there are more, but my memory is rly failing me. i can only remember flashes of my primary school band life.

Secondary School
1)RV Guest Band at Yuhua Concert.
2)Speech Day
3)Istana Performance
4)National Day(lol)
5)First day of 2009.(lol)

Primary Alumni
1)Primary School Concert'08

i dun rly remember well. im not sure whether there are more or not. but well, these are all that I remember for now. I might come back and edit this anytime so, yah.

and anyway,
my instrument just keeps giving me problems.
sometimes i cannot even produce a sound out of it.
damn.

support lost

oh man, my brother just reported for NS today.

That's like so "great" man, now I have to rely on myself to complete those complicated homework.

Damn it, I'm so gone this year.

My pillar of support is gone.

Futhermore, the good teachers are all gone too.

....

2009 teachers

Let me just do a simple sum-up of the new teachers.

Lang Arts: Mrs Josephine Woon
I would say that this teacher is just like any normal language arts teacher. The lessons are equally boring and mundane. I can totally see almost everyone looking sian-ed during the period. However, I would still prefer my old teacher better because she isn't strict at all.

Mathematics: Ms/Mrs Agnes Lee
This teacher is the most horrible maths teacher I have ever seen. Maybe it's just me. She seems to treat us like primary school students, explaining every single step to us. I would definitely prefer Mrs Chak to her. Mrs Chak's teaching is like dont know how many times more interesting and better than Ms/Mrs Agnes Lee.

History: Ms Serene Teo
This teacher is quite an acceptable teacher. I must say her teaching is still acceptable and good. Nothing much to continue.

Geography: Mr Bryan Tan
I don't rly know this teacher well yet, since I only met him once this week. Can't rly comment much but quite a friendly teacher I must say.

Overall, I would obviously prefer last year's group of teachers. They are so much better and friendly than these new teachers. Especially Mathematics. I seriously dunno how am I going to score well with such a teacher.

Oh, and I'm the new History Rep. Lol.

2009, the start of the new year.

2009.

the new year.

Firstly, I should start by wishing everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Secondly, I should talk more about events in this past year.

2008 has been quite a meaningful year. New school, new class. Everything is new, well not counting CCA. I had to adjust to new environments and etc. Nevertheless, I had fun with my class, though there were and are still some disputes. More importantly, I had fun in RVCB. Although sometimes, I had to juggle between my primary alumni band and my secondary school band, but I still enjoyed myself tremendously in band.

As all bandsmen know, band rawks. Especially RVCB.

Other than that, I also had fun coaching my juniors. Although their improvement is rather slow, I believe that with practice, they will improve gradually. I hope that they would seriously love band and practice with gusto.

Now is the start of everything.

We're all back to square one. I hope that 2B'09 will be more united and hopefully have no internal conflicts.

That's all.
